Hip hip hoooray, we have some exciting news. Due to a few people having to pull out of TOWIB tomorrow due to personal circumstances, the 'blog design' session is being replaced with something rather more fabulous. Caroline Hirons from Beauty Mouth has been running her online clinic for some time, giving advice and answering questions from her lovely readers - her knowledge of the industry and skincare products is unrivaled. It's with great pleasure we can let you know that Caroline will be hosting two mini 'clinic' sessions tomorrow at TOWIB so you can talk to her in person! She'll be in the afternoon in the 'workshop' session, so we hope to see you then.

Brand intros for TOWIB 4
We have some great brands joining us on Saturday, so we wanted to tell you a little more about them. Here's a brief intro and what you can look forward to this weekend.
Naked
We are
pleased to welcome natural brand, Naked to The Only Way is blogging. The Naked team will be introducing the brand
with an insight into cosmetic ingredients. Come along to the Naked team’s
workshop to ask your questions about ingredients, cruelty free, parabens and
learn about how to interpret cosmetic ingredients labels. Naked
makes beautiful skincare, body care and hair care, all of which are at least
97% natural, free from parabens, SLS and petrochemicals, plus, it’s all cruelty
free too! You can
spot Naked hair care and body care in Boots and Naked skincare in Superdrug. If
you would like to browse their full range you can check out their website
www.nakedbodycare.co.uk
LP Skin Therapy
Dr. Linda Papadopoulos will
be speaking at The Only Way is Blogging about body image and confidence. In
addition, Dr. Linda’s skincare brand, LP Skin Therapy will be present to reveal
more about the product development process and product claims. The LP Skin Therapy range
is based on Dr. Linda’s research into psychodermatology, the psychological
approach to skin disorders, recognising the role emotional stress can
play in triggering these conditions and tackling the distress they can
cause. When
anxious, the body produces more of the hormone cortisol which can result in
blocked pores, breakouts and premature ageing. LP Skin Therapy has been
designed to address both the external (sun, pollution) and internal factors
behind ageing skin - stress. LP Skin
Therapy is available from QVC, Look Fantastic, Keep Me Inspired and www.lpskintherapy.com
Fish Soho
The super
cool hair styling brand, Fish Soho will be in attendance taking photos of the
event. Come in your best outfit to be spotted for your style. The best outfits
will make it to the Fish Facebook page after the event. The best outfit will
win a fabulous prize. Fed up
with the pompous, prima donna attitude of most hairdressers in the West End,
Paul Burfoot decided to open his own place on D’Arblay Street, Soho in 1987. Formerly
a sex shop, he stripped the walls to find beautiful art deco tiles, revealing
the shop used to be a fishmongers- hence the name Fish was born. 25 years
later, the Soho salon is thriving and a full range of styling products for both
men and women is available exclusively to Boots and www.keepmeinspired.co.uk
Orla Kiely Fragrance
We are
pleased to welcome Victoria from Orla Kiely fragrances to The Only Way is
Blogging, come along and find out more about the iconic design led collection
of perfume and home fragrance. Victoria will be pleased to talk you through the
collection, including the brand new fragrances for Spring Summer 2012. Victoria
will also be available for your questions about the beauty industry on a drop
in basis. The Orla
Kiely fragrance range can be found in John Lewis, Heals and a range of
independent retailers globally.

Making a career out of blogging
Blogging has changed the way many young (and old!) people view what they want to do. The freedom of expression, the ability to own your own space, the possibility of working with brands and getting your talents out there has opened many doors. Having a blog can allow you to do many things, but how can it sway your future career or give your current one a new direction? We'll be having a panel Q&A session and discussion with some people that have turned their blog into a job - whether it's allowed them to make it a full time career, given them a push into PR, social media, writing or journalism, blogging can allow you to do so many different things. If you want to know how you can use blogging as stepping stone and find out from some very special people how they did it, make sure you come along to TOWIB!
UPDATE! The panelists will be as follows
Poppy from www.wiwt.com is a very special guest who will be sitting on this panel and taking questions from you lovely folk. She's taken blogging her outfits and made it into a career and business model, frequently working with brands and appearing in main-stream press.
Twitter: @PoppyD
Natalie from www.no-no-coco.com is a blogger, journalist and PR girl that has really made the leap from writing great stuff online to a fabulous 'real life' career. Find out how she got into PR and how she makes a living doing something she loves.
Twitter: @no_no_coco
Emma from www.emmacossey.com is a freelance journalist, editor, blogger, social media journalist and consultant. That's a lot of different angles! Emma will answer your questions about the different options available to bloggers and how to 'put yourself out there'.
Twitter: @emma_cossey
Jayne from www.jayneskitschen.co.uk/blog turned her passion for writing into a career in beauty PR and social media, doing what she loves 24/7. Jayne will have bundles of advice about the options available and how to make the leap from blogging into a career.

Photography 101
Imagery on your blog is as important a the words you're putting out there. It breaks up the text, make your blog look appealing and really illustrates what you're trying to say. But how can you take great photos, especially when out and about, if you don't have a degree in photography or a camera worth £3000? One of my favourite bloggers, Jaime from Boy Meets Fashion, will be sharing some of his tips with us in a small breakout session. This informal workshop will give you an opportunity to ask questions and come away with inspiring tips, as well as meeting the fabulous Jaime himself. We can't wait to see what he has to say!
Blogger Q&A
This session is always the one that appears to get the most positive response at TOWIB, mainly because it's a free-for-all session where you can ask people anything you want! The blogger Q&A is designed to enable you to ask some well established and successful bloggers the questions that haven't been answered elsewhere during the day, or just to hear some comedy stories. If you've been to previous TOWIBs you'll know that we've had some great quotes come out of bloggers before that have kept Twitter ablaze for days after! This time we have the following great bloggers on our panel, so come armed with your burning questions and do your worst...
Caroline from www.beautymouth.com is one of the mothers of blogging (don't shoot me Caroline!) thanks to her supportive nature and long established career in the industry. Caroline has established her blog as one of the 'go to' destinations for anything skincare and has seen her blog grow hugely due to her 'clinic' sessions. I can't wait to have her on the panel!
Twitter: @CarolineHirons
Kelli writes for www.thehighteacast.co.uk and has spoken at many blogging conferences, as well as working in social media herself. An opinionated and hilarious Tweeter, there's no doubt she'll have oodles of advice and comical anecdotes to share with us all.
Twitter: @kellipandaaa
Hayley from www.londonbeautyqueen.com has been blogging for over two years and is the founder of TOWIB. She has worked on many brand campaigns, won awards and been on judging panels, as well as working in social media as a 'day job'. She always has opinions and is more than happy to share them!
