I really hope to see loads of you again (and lots of new faces) at the next TOWIB event. It's just over two weeks away (ahhh) so it's time to pimp it out and to ensure we have lots of you there to share your knowledge and learn from others. If you'd like to write about TOWIB, encourage readers or blogging friends to come or just show your support, then please feel free. If you want to take the new and improved TOWIB logo and include it on your blog then please do copy one of the images below!

Small Brands Market
It's really important that we support up and coming businesses in the blogging community. So many of you do in great and fabulous ways already, but at TOWIB we'll be hosting a 'small brands market' over lunch and into the afternoon where you can discover some really cute products and make some cheeky purchases. We already have some brilliant accessories lined up for you and I know I've got my eye on many many pieces already. (If you're a small brand and want to come and showcase your stuff then get in touch - there are still a couple of slots available!) I can see myself walking out with an arm full of bracelets and more necklaces than Mr T!

Beauty Workshops
At TOWIB we want to make the experience not only fun, but also educational. We'll be hosting a selection of workshops which will help you get to grips with the beauty industry in particular and become a better informed blogger. You'll be able to choose the workshops that are best for you and fill up your day accordingly. Take a look below at some of the workshops on offer...
From Idea to Shop Floor. How is a beauty product made?
With the case study of LP Skin Therapy by Dr. Linda Papadopoulos, we'll explain how a product idea develops into a product on the shop floor. Take this chance to have a sneak peek into the makings of a skincare line, learn about the steps involved and ask your burning questions! Take a look at some samples from the development process and speak to two beauty product development experts about their experience in the industry.
• Want to know why product gets discontinued?
• Why do some products never make it to market?
• How long does it take to create a new product line?
What does it mean? Cosmetic Ingredients Explained.
Taking a look at the Naked range, we'll clear up some of the myths in cosmetic ingredients and give you a masterclass in the properties of some of the most commonly used ingredients, so that you can become a savvier shopper and a better beauty blogger. The Naked team will also clear up some of the myths surrounding natural, organic, paraben free and any other beauty buzz words that you might need some insight on.
How can a product make those claims?
Ever wondered how a beauty product can get away with making some of those claims? Want to know how a brand has to justify their claims? Join in this workshop with the LP Skin Therapy product development team to find out about clinical trials and the steps a brand goes through to be permitted to make those claims. Why not bring along an example of a product with strong claims? We can help you identify how it justifies those claims
Hair Trends and Frequently Asked Hair Questions with Hair Expert, Scott Cornwall
Join hair expert, Scott Cornwall to find out about his predictions for upcoming hair trends and how to create them at home, followed by a Q&A and FAQ about all things hair. Scott’s expertise are in hair colouring, so be sure to come ready with any hair colour dilemmas. Come ready with your hair questions for Scott to give his professional advice on products, treatments and styles to suit you!

Making a career out of blogging
Blogging has changed the way many young (and old!) people view what they want to do. The freedom of expression, the ability to own your own space, the possibility of working with brands and getting your talents out there has opened many doors. Having a blog can allow you to do many things, but how can it sway your future career or give your current one a new direction? We'll be having a panel Q&A session and discussion with some people that have turned their blog into a job - whether it's allowed them to make it a full time career, given them a push into PR, social media, writing or journalism, blogging can allow you to do so many different things. If you want to know how you can use blogging as stepping stone and find out from some very special people how they did it, make sure you come along to TOWIB!
Poppy Dinsey who, completely alone, set up WIWT.com is a very special guest who will be sitting on this panel and taking questions from you lovely folk. She's taken blogging her outfits and made it into a career and business model, frequently working with brands and appearing in main-stream press. An inspiration to many, Poppy will be coming along to TOWIB to answer your burning questions.
More details on the panel ASAP.

Dr. Linda Papadopoulos
This time at TOWIB one of the UK's most experienced, respected and well-known psychologists will be joining us. You may recognise Dr. Linda Papadopoulos from the telly - documentaries, the news, chat shows and even Big Brother (when they actually got experts in to discuss the state of the contestants health!) Her 15 year career as a research scientist and practicing psychologist has led to her work being published in some of the most well-regarded academic journals and given rise to a high profile media-career. Her observations regarding the psychology behind news and current events are syndicated by the press and discussed by television and radio networks, both in Britain and in the USA.
Dr Linda launched her own skincare range in 2011, building on her knowledge of the mind and body. LP Skin Therapy is a scientifically advanced skincare collection designed to help skin look rested, youthful, healthy and vibrant no matter what life throws at you. Designed to treat skin holistically, LP Skin Therapy works on tackling not just the external factors of prematurely ageing skin (sun, pollution) but also the internal factors, namely stress. Dr. Linda has said "After having worked with hundreds of patients it became clear to me that what was lacking in the field of dermatological cosmetics was a range that addressed the skin's health holistically, taking into account a person's emotional state as well as their physical state".
Dr Linda will be at TOWIB hosting a session on body confidence, how skincare and makeup can affect the way we feel and taking your questions. This is a unique opportunity to find out about why certain products can make us feel good, but also why feeling good is more than just superficial. I've met Dr Linda and she's a truly inspirational person. You're sure to come away from this session feeling uplifted and understanding more about your emotional and physical happiness.
We hope to see you at TOWIB! Don't forget to book your tickets here.

We have a date!
Set your watch for a very important date - TOWIB is back for a forth time this June!
We're pleased to announce the date for the next installment is Saturday 16th June 2012. The venue and itinerary for the day will be published ASAP, but we've taken on (constructive) feedback from last time to ensure that we're meeting the needs of the majority of people who want to come along. The day will be slightly longer to ensure we can open for registration at 10.30am, starting at 11.00am sharp and breaking for lunch at 1.00pm. We'll also finish a little earlier at 5.00pm to allow everyone to make their way home or off out on the lash.
There will be 'breakout' sessions so you can choose the topics that are most of interest to you, as well as us focusing on other areas of interest like 'how do I make a career out of blogging'. There will also be a small brands market where some of the coolest up and coming boutique brands showcase their products for you to buy, supporting some great people that would otherwise not be able to get the exposure. (If you want to be part of the market please get in touch ASAP as there's limited space.)
You can join the Facebook event here.
Buy your tickets here. (They're still only £5)
I'll be publishing more details as soon as I can, but for the time being HAPPY TOWIB!
